Hand-selected Engelmann spruce wood was used to make the solid top of this guitar, and it is joined by mahogany sides and back for powerful lows and mids, and an overall open sound. With its original jumbo-sized body, the acoustic volume of this guitar is powerful and compelling. Thanks to the SRT Zero Impact contact pickup by Yamaha, it's also easy to amplify. The pickup consists of subtle parts by each string, and doesn't have any hardware on the rest of the body, which means that you just have to plug it in and adjust your settings via your amp while keeping a clean, acoustic guitar look. A major factor in comfortable playing is the neck, and for this model Yamaha has given the neck a traditional profile focused on comfort. The 5-part mahogany/rosewood neck offers great grip and playability over the entire length of the fretboard.
